See their menu at http://www.adelphigrill.com/Content.aspx?page=Menu $150 for 5 persons today.

Surf & Turf

Tapas of mutton sausages, garlic prawns and chunks of salmon

Cajun Chicken Wings

Club sandwich - no Mayo no Butter less cycling after this.

Steak & salad build the muscles and plenty of iron.

Decor seems sensible and simple.
The Grill manned by single chef this weekend. Perth's hottest Saturday with temp of 43degrees C today. The airconditioning was cool and helped with the meal.

Cycling in the city during rush hour may need to be done with a dust filter mask. Recent study by Marguerite Nyhan from Trinity College suggest fumes and tyre particles may lodge in your lungs while cycling. This may not be too good for the lungs. See http://cyclingmagazine.ca/sections/news/fumes-from-motor-vehicles-harmful-to-bike-commuters/ However, don't stop cycling after this heavy steak lunch. Ride in the suburbs or by the beach after your turf and surf.

Chopstick Cuisine Mississauga Ontario Canada

Hot spicy Indian food chinese style or vice versa.

For more photos see their gallery at http://www.chopstickcuisine.ca/.  Borrowed their photos below.

It was a cold winter night and a local Torontonian wanted to take me out for a spicy unique meal near the Toronto International airport. I was looking forward to a hot and spicy meal of chinese food but surprised by the cultural twist. The restaurant was full of diners.

We had the lollipop chicken, chili shrimp, crispy sesame beef and fish pakora.

lollipop chicken

chili shrimp

Too spicy for my taste in Chinese food but suits the wintry weather. My favorite was the shrimp. It was sharp and went with boiled rice. Not too greasy.

Every morning we ran along the Humber River in Etobicoke a short car ride away. Running in the cold weather requires cold weather gear and gloves. Shop around and combine the best from different cold weather gear suppliers. Breathable gear better if you train hard. Layering helps if climate changes during your run. A beanie too - especially if you train mainly in temperate climates.

Carving the tomahawk a fine piece of tasty meat.

More food soft shelled crabs and savoury fried crunchy bits.

Salads and potatoes for the steaks.

Delicious after chewing the meat of the bone.

Do you gain weight over your holidays? There maybe some truth it that. See NEJM Study of prospective holiday weight gain The weight gain may be more if we don't increase activity after a fine meal.

Ah Meng Singapore Zoo restaurant

I took the kids to the Singapore Zoo when we were last in Singapore. We had lunch at the Ah Meng restaurant - named after an orang hutan monkey. The kids had chicken rice but we had the Indian Food. The curry and the tandoori chicken was good and not too fatty. Nan bread was tasty. They used to have a tandoori oven on site. See http://www.zoo.com.sg/dining/ah-meng-restaurant.html

Make sure you get plenty of walking at the zoo and drink lots of water in the tropical heat. Ice cream for the children if they must.

Plenty of examples in the zoo of fast running plant eating wild life. Anecdotally some athletes eschew meat and perform well on a vegetarian diet - especially long distance athletes. Google vegetarian and fitness.
