Sapporo Ramen Restaurant on 152 W 49th Street, Manhattan - Midtown NYC
Christmas Day 2012 with 7th Avenue and Lexington Avenue packed with tourist. The Rockefeller centre filled to the brim with visitors taking photos of Christmas lights. Where do we go for dinner at 8 pm on Xmas day.
Dinner venue was a word of mouth recommendation from friends in Toronto.
Ramen (Japanese Noodles) a cosy bustling hiding place.
Some piping hot ramen.
A large slab of chicken katsu.
Go for a combo of ramen, miso, fried rice or gyoza. Miso soup - salt and very little oil. Great for the health conscious and counting calories.
Fried rice as a starter for one of the $11 combos.
Or have some fried dumplings.
No room for Xmas pudding or brandy sauce after this meal.
NYC go for a jog around central park. Wear warm clothing. If not stay at a hotel with a gym.

Bubor Cha Cha Boston
Yum Cha in New England
After a Saturday morning of shopping time to get out of the rain and to fill up on hot food. Short walk from Macy's Cross town to China town.
Bubor Cha Cha is a Malaysian desert - an odd name for a Chinese restaurant that serves yum cha with Cantonese speaking wait staff.
Food is hearty and fresh. Served piping hot. Address card below.
If you fancy noodles with duck to warm the bones.
Grilled dumplings were great after hours of walking along Newbury St and visiting all the retail outlets.
Something new the inside of a taro dumpling. Real 'yam' or taro inside.
Contact details of the restaurant.
Crunchy bean sprouts with noodles.
Need a second plate to keep warm. Brrr!!! Shiver and shake!!
Outside the restaurant. Doesn't look it - but it is about 1 or 2 degrees centigrade outside.

Below the view of Back Bay from the MIT side. Great place to go for a jog along the river. For the cold weather try affordable winter weather running gear from Hind http://hind.com/. Not as expensive as the bigger names in running apparel
