Foo Wah Perth

Chinese New Year lunch invite.

Two football teams of families looking for a big celebratory feed to welcome the cultural event. They head to Foo Wah a traditional stomping ground for family foodies in Perth.

Two delicacies:

Lobster noodles.

Yee Sang or fish salad. Can be made with raw or smoked fish. The one below has smoked salmon in it. Yummy.; There is the sweet taste of chopped fruit, hot preserved ginger and sprinkling of nuts.

No content with these two dishes then order your favourite Chinese banquet. At reasonable prices. Gets very lively in this little restaurant so be prepared to talk loudly to get yourself heard.

Run a marathon after if you can. If not like the rest of us have light meals for the next 24 hours.

If you can tolerate nuts why not add some almonds. It can boost your magnesium levels which can be inportant for your health. See this Harvard Health article on magnesium and your health http://www.health.harvard.edu/healthbeat/what-you-should-know-about-magnesium
