Firewater Grill High tea Duxton Hotel Perth

Xmas Eve 2014. High tea with MD, RW, LF, LK, AT and MT. At the Duxton Hotel. See http://firewatergrille.com.au/ Work farewell for MT.
Tier one on top with 2 kind of scones, cream and creme brulee. Tier 2 in the middle with donuts and assorted pastries. Tier 3 at the bottom with savouries like bagel sandwich, baguette sandwich and sushi. Plenty for 1 person.
Tea pot with exotic tea. I had the decaffeinated pekoe. You can opt for champagne for starters. Only tow on the table had the champagne. I stuck to the tea. At organised this event. She had tried to do this last year for Xmas too. No one apart from me was really interested. This time she managed to convince everyone.
Savouries close up. We all started with the savouries at the bottom. My colleagues enjoyed the Christmas cheer. MT was heading to greener pastures and we were hoping he would have some alcoholic cheer but he also stuck to the wonderful tea.

The scones and creme brulee. I thought the plain scones were the most delicious items in the food platter. It brought out the flavour of the tea. I enjoyed the scones with cream and strawberry jam.
For $40 per person. Nice gentle way to end the afternoon. Good service. Pageful of teas available. We all left feeling warm and comforted from the experience. MT was farewelled with Auld lang sye and good tea.
