Carcosa Seri Negara KL

Memories of British Empire and mem sahibs. Lunch steeped in the history of colonial Malaya.

What? Creme Brulee in the tropics! By far the best creme brulee around. Crunchy topping of caramelised sugar. Rich creamy filling - not too sweet....

Photo at the entrance Carcosa of Bapa Malaysia or the father of the Malaysian sovereign state.

The lunch setting was colonial Malaya with rattan chairs and cushions amongst views of thick green shrubbery around the compound.

The menu for the short lunch.

Salmon tartare. Sharp and light.

Tenderloin steak. Tender and juicy.

I did not get bitten by mosuitoes. My colleagues were less lucky.
