Dos Caminos Modern Mexican in NYC

Looking for Mod Mexican in NYC in December 2012 for dinner. Try the Dos Caminos on 3rd Avenue. This establishment was rocking. It was cool with a bustling & hip atmosphere. See the gallery photos at http://www.doscaminos.com/

Before dinner a long walk to Saks and Rockefella Center. To keep warm and maitain the circulation during this early winter period.

The 3rd Ave restaurant looks diminutive but is has a mezzanie and a basement. Wait staff were prompt.
Some Guacomole to start. Avocado +++

Ribs Mexican Style. Skipped the tequila that may help wash down the lipids as it has too many calories.

Giant Fajitas which were more pizza like. These were great for carb loading for tomorrow's morning run.

Corn chips with the salsa.

There were 3 types of salsa. Spicy, Sweet & smoky. There was a tomato, chili and habanero.

A staple offering of steak and beans

The Mexican food was smart and sassy. Not too heavy. After dinner a stroll up 3rd Avenue to help digestion. Then some heavy duty shopping in the Home Depot up the road.
