It was a cold winter night and a local Torontonian wanted to take me out for a spicy unique meal near the Toronto International airport. I was looking forward to a hot and spicy meal of chinese food but surprised by the cultural twist. The restaurant was full of diners.
We had the lollipop chicken, chili shrimp, crispy sesame beef and fish pakora.

Too spicy for my taste in Chinese food but suits the wintry weather. My favorite was the shrimp. It was sharp and went with boiled rice. Not too greasy.
Every morning we ran along the Humber River in Etobicoke a short car ride away. Running in the cold weather requires cold weather gear and gloves. Shop around and combine the best from different cold weather gear suppliers. Breathable gear better if you train hard. Layering helps if climate changes during your run. A beanie too - especially if you train mainly in temperate climates.
